16 May 2026 - Grandkids Day!

What an awesome day!  Even though we are "on the road" we were able to see two of our grandkids achieve excellence in their own way.  Jon Ervin, Michelle's youngest, graduated from the Milwaukee Area Technical College WITH HONORS!   Jon excelled in his pursuit of excellence in the welding course there while still enrolled as a senior at Oak Creek High School!  We are so proud of Jon and he is knocking it out of the park!  He will soon graduate from Oak Creek High School and we will attend his graduation party in Oak Creek in July.

Calvin Schellhase, Dan's youngest, had an awesome day playing baseball in Indianola IA  He hit a three run home run in the first inning and also singled in the second inning  scoring one.  On the defensive side he had an outstanding outing "on the hill"  pitching near-perfect baseball.  He threw two and one third innings of shut-out baseball in relief,  He only allowed one hit, striking our five and walking none!  The second game of the day Calvin racked up 2 runs on 2 hits  and 2 RBI's with no strikeouts  and no walks.  We are so proud of this young man!  Calvin plays again tomorrow and through the magic of the Game Changer app we are able to tune-in and watch the game!

That's why we love traveling with our RV.  Technology helps us stay in-touch with our grandkids  and participate in their activities while we are gone.

We also love staying military campgrounds like this one.  We feel secure there and "at home".  The people we meet there end up as friends for life. Friends with common interests.   Yesterday we met Jason & Kim, Alliance owners and Army Veterans.  Today we met Brad and Betty from Alabama.  Alliance owners all headed for the Rally as we are,

Tonight we enjoyed some fellowship and bourbon tasting with Jason and Kim.  We had fun exchanging stories about various places we have camped,

Tomorrow Calvin plays again in the morning and Doreen will get us caught up on laundry.  I will dump and flush our tanks and we will fuel up prior to our Monday morning departure as we head to Elkhart Campground and the 7th annual Alliance Rally.
